Personal Injury – (Industrial Disease & Catastrophic Injury) Manchester
I joined the firm in 2011 with over 20 years’ experience as a personal injury lawyer. I have expertise in catastrophic injury including brain injury, spinal injury, fatal accidents, re-constructive surgery, multiple injuries, fractures and amputations. I also have a specialist knowledge of industrial disease, notably asbestos-related conditions.
Qualifications and professional achievements: LLB (Hons), Post-Graduate Diploma in Personal Injury Law, Association of Personal Injury Lawyers senior litigator, member of Headway, Cbit and BASIC panel member. Achieved damages of £1 million for asbestos disease sufferers in one month and settled a ‘group action’ for mucous membrane disease sufferers arising from inhaling diesel fumes. Also settled brain injury cases valued in the millions and successfully handled a non-physical assault post-traumatic stress disorder claim resulting in five-figure damages.
How did you end up working for a law firm? I genuinely really wanted to help people and particularly the ‘underdog’ and those without the resources to fight for their rights.
