Birchall Blackburn's Megahike Team
At 4:30am on Saturday the 25th June 2010 a team of 4 hikers from Birchall Blackburn LLP set off on a gruelling 50 mile hike around the Pennines to raise money for MedEquip4Kids.
MedEquip4Kids is a charity which funds medical equipment for children in and out of hospital in the north.
Jamie Patton, Partner at Birchall Blackburn's Manchester office, led the "BB Bootcamp" team; Leanne Devine, Mick Smith and Rachel Harrison from our Preston office. The team was backed by their support team Amanda Taylor, Cheryl Baines, Nik Gittins and Steven Raynor.
Out of the 56 teams that entered, "BB Bootcamp" finished in 20th place completing the hike in just under 22 hours and raising over £2,220.00!!!
The team would like to thank everyone for their kind donations and support. We hope to be involved in more charity events to support worthwhile causes, such as MedEquip4Kids, in the future.
