Expansion of Employers Liability Team
Birchall Blackburn's specialist 'Employers Liability & Health & Safety Team' has transferred to Chorley in order to cope with rapid expansion.
The move has also re-established Birchall Blackburn's presence in Chorley for Personal Injury work.
Following several years in which the firm's Personal Injury Unit has become increasingly centralised at the Preston office, significant expansion in all areas of work has resulted in several core teams being established at other offices within the firm, most notably the Industrial Disease team based in Manchester and, now, the Employers Liability team.
The team provides a specialised service for any clients involved in workplace accidents or who experience Health & Safety related problems.
Team leader Andrew Taylor has over 7 years' experience in the field of Occupational Safety and Health.
Andrew is keen not only to assist employees to take action following an accident at work, but also to advise employers on accident avoidance.
Often, injuries could have been prevented if employers had complied with the most basic Health & Safety requirements. We are conscious of the problems facing employers in implementing the law. However, the emphasis should still be on accident avoidance whereas all too often employers only think about Health & Safety issues after they have faced with a claim by an employee.
