Legal Secretary, Industrial Disease, Chester

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Industrial Disease team in Chester.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare correspondence and documents through audio-typing and digital dictation
  • General administration duties including, file management, diary management, daily filing, upkeep of spreadsheets/databases and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the company procedures
  • Attend to clients and counsel/experts both on the telephone and in person and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s standards of client care
  • Arrange appointments and prepare for meetings for fee earners within the team including the preparation of relevant documentation
  • Preparing files for Court and conferences
  • Provide support to other secretaries and departments when required
  • Apply the highest standards of integrity and professionalism

Skills and experience

  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • Previous experience working with Industrial Disease or Personal Injury cases
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Able to prepare court bundles and documentation, together with bundles to experts and counsel
  • Must be a team player and also able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining an efficient workload
  • Strong attention to detail

 

Hours: 9.00am – 5.30pm – Monday to Friday, Full time
