Industrial Disease – Manchester

Having first become involved with industrial disease work almost 20 years ago, I joined Birchall Blackburn in 2007 and specialise in all areas industrial disease work. This includes asbestos-related litigation, dermatitis, asthma, vibration white finger, and noise-induced hearing loss.

Qualifications and professional achievements: LLB (Hons), Winner of the Law Society Award for Most Outstanding Student. Having represented many clients with mesothelioma contracted as a result of exposure in the workplace, I have also had success for those with exposure in their council house properties and for those who had relatives bringing asbestos dust home on their clothes.

How did you end up working for a law firm? I wanted to fight for justice for people in vulnerable situations.

Unusual fact: I am a mentor with the Association of Women Solicitors.
