We believe that our legal services are essential services, especially during periods of uncertainty and major change, which is why we have never stopped working since the Covid-19 lockdown began.
We had to work a little differently, close our physical high street offices and work from home. It has been a steep learning curve for everyone but thanks to our investment in technology and flexible procedures we have been able to work with our clients by telephone, email and online video, which has been a great success.
But we haven’t been able to offer our usual face-to-face service due to the Covid-19 restrictions. We are therefore delighted to be able to open our doors to our clients once again!
We are phasing the opening of our seven offices and our local Leyland office will be the first to open its doors on Wednesday July 1 from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday to begin with.
Face-to-face Will instruction
Birchall Blackburn Law appreciates that when it comes to something as personal and important as writing a Will some clients prefer to meet face-to-face. The process of instructing our legal specialists to make a Will requires a lot of information from you about your finances, your family and wishes when you are not here, and understandably many of the people we help feel more comfortable speaking in person to us.
So, we’re really pleased to be able to welcome you back into our Leyland office to talk about your Will or anything else we can help you with.
Making our office safe
In the first instance we ask that you do not attend our offices if you or someone in your household is showing any coronavirus symptoms, which include a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; and / or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. More information about symptoms can be found on the NHS website here…
Everyone who attends our office will be asked to observe the Government and NHS social distancing rules, which include keeping 2 metres apart and maintaining hand hygiene. We have put in place hygiene and safety measures within the office to keep our staff and visitors safe and well. So, when you do visit us you can feel comfortable.
We ask that before visiting our office that you call or email to organise an appointment.
If you would like to know more about the safety measures we have in place then please go to our visitors risk assessment information by clicking here. The information sets out what is expected of our staff and you when visiting our office during the pandemic.
What works for you
We understand that for many people coming into the office is still not an option. Although our offices are now opening, we are still offering alternative means of taking your instructions. Whether you are social distancing, self-isolating or shielding we will work with you to provide a quality legal service to support your legal needs.
You can talk to us via telephone or online video call and we will just work a little differently with you. You can find out how that it works when comes to the making of a Will by reading our information on instructing a Will during lockdown, here.
If you would like to discuss making a Will or any of our services, either in the office or remotely, please contact 01772 433 775 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
